Babies Like To Have Fun!
Babies are naturally drawn to Music even from the womb so imagine how stimulating music can be right from Birth. It has been proven to have profound benefits to all areas of brain development.
At my classes babies from Birth - 14 months along with parent/carer can explore music together in a relaxed and fun musical environment. You can explore sounds, rhythms, touch, movement and musical activities using a variety of sensory props and percussion instruments.

The classes incorporate all styles of music for everyone to enjoy. There are many natural sounds for baby to rock and sway to, traditional songs that we all know and love, classical music specially created for little ears to soothe and relax to.

I introduce music from around the world which is anything from Latin Rhythms, African Beats, Caribbean Calypso and lots more..
This is all beneficial to young children as they listen to different patterns and rhythms of language. It also welcomes many cultures through song which introduces an understanding and respect for other traditions different to our own.
Through finger-play rhymes, action songs, puppets, parachutes, scarves, balloons or bubbles, there is so much your baby will learn as you play together at Baba Boom These benefits include stimulation of creativity and love of music from an early age, enhancing cognitive and behaviour skills, helps develop physical development and range of motion, emotional and social development and early language and counting skills.
Frequently Asked Questions:
What can my newborn baby really do at a music class and how do they benefit?
Your baby can hear from Birth so they will benefit from the different sounds that they will be introduced to during the session. As various areas of your baby’s brain are being stimulated, encouraging new neurons to grow faster and increasing the rate in which your babies brain develops. As you move around the room with your baby you are stimulating their vestibular system which helps to develop their sense of balance and gravity. Doing action songs with your baby exercises different parts of your baby’s body strengthening their muscles. Singing to your baby helps to develop their sense of security and love as the emotional bond between you grows stronger. Babies are able to perceive tones and melodies by the age of four months. As your baby develops they will begin to participate more throughout the different stages of their development.
How many babies are in a group?

The classes are usually between 12-14 depending on the age range of babies in a specific class. This forms a relaxed atmosphere that is not too noisy or overwhelming for younger babies. I try to keep babies under 9 months in the same class.

What if my baby falls asleep?

This happens! Small babies can only stay awake for short periods of time. Even if a new baby is staying awake for half the class, they are still gaining the benefit and their brain is being stimulated . Babies routines change often at a young age, but fitting a music class around your own routine will give you the opportunity to enjoy this time with your baby as well as meeting other new mums!
